Dodgers News: Jordan Jankowski Claimed Off Waivers From Astros

The Los Angeles Dodgers cleared a spot on their 40-man roster by sending Jacob Rhame to the New York Mets as the player to be named later in the Curtis Granderson trade, but immediately filled it by claiming Jordan Jankowski off waivers from the Houston Astros.

Jankowski was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City, essentially filling the void left by Rhame on the Dodgers’ 40-man roster and OKC pitching staff. The 28-year-old was selected by the Astros in the 34th round of the 2012 Draft.

Jankowski made his MLB debut this season against the Detroit Tigers on May 24 and allowed two runs on two hits, including a home run, but otherwise struck out the side during his inning of work.
