The injury woes are continuing for the Dodgers. On Tuesday, rookie outfielder Jonny DeLuca was forced to exit the game in the bottom of the eighth inning while running to first base.
He pulled up gimpy, and immediately reached towards his right hamstring. He spoke with trainers in the dugout and was replaced by Yonny Hernandez in the outfield.
First things first, we hope for the best for DeLuca, who’s getting an opportunity right now with the Dodgers due to their lack of right-handed bats. However, with the addition of Kiké Hernández, it was possible that DeLuca would be heading back down to the minors.
