Jason Heyward attempted to rob Arizona Diamondbacks designated hitter and former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson of a home run on Thursday. He didn’t make the catch and unfortunately landed awkwardly.

Heyward left the game between the second and the third inning and was replaced by Miguel Vargas. He is scheduled to undergo imaging on Friday.
“I felt it immediately when I landed,” Heyward told reporters after the game. “The play happened fast. It was one of those in the outfield where it still looks like you can catch the ball.
