Veteran outfielder Jason Heyward has had an impressive start to his Dodger career. He’s seeing the ball well, and clearly putting his revamped swing to work, already mashing two home runs early in spring training.
Heyward has played so well that he’s gone from an afterthought minor league acquisition to a potential member of the Opening Day roster. And after Dave Roberts’ comments on Wednesday, the word “potential” may have to be scratched from that sentence.
Roberts spoke to the media Wednesday afternoon, and was asked about Heyward making the Opening Day roster.
