Dodgers rookie James Outman is off to a sensational start this season. Entering Friday’s game, he’s slashing .290/.397/.645 with five home runs, three triples and 15 RBIs. The biggest hit of his young career, however, came on Thursday, in the 9th inning of the Dodgers’ win.
Outman, who had already homered in the 3rd inning, came up with the bases loaded in a 2-2 ballgame. After working the count full, he made Cubs RHP Michael Fulmer pay for leaving a cutter over the middle of the plate.
Outman crushed the ball to right field, sending it over the fence, and putting the Dodgers up 6-2.
