The Los Angeles Dodgers reinstated Grant Dayton from the disabled list on Saturday, and optioned Josh Fields to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Dayton’s return gives the Dodgers a second left-handed reliever in their seven-man bullpen.
Dayton was put on the 10-day DL with a left intercostal strain. Friday was the first day he was eligible to be activated, but the Dodgers elected to provide Dayton with an additional day of rest.
