The Giants had their opportunities this weekend. That included Thursday night when San Francisco came roaring back from a 5-run deficit just to lose by 3 runs late in the contest. But it wasn’t from a lack of effort, but a lack of execution in many facets of their series against the Dodgers.
Defensively, the Dodgers far outpaced the Giants throughout the 4-game series. San Francisco had a pair of errors on Thursday night, followed by 2 more on Friday night. And though they went errorless in the other 2 games, there were more than a few misplays that the Dodgers took advantage of.
