The Dodgers picked up win number 100 on the season with a 5-2 victory over the Giants in San Francisco on Sunday. With it, the club established a new MLB record with its fourth consecutive 100-plus win campaign in a non-shortened season. With all the changes the Dodgers faced roster wise last offseason, they entered spring training far from favorites to win the NL West let alone 100 games.
“From outside the organization I don’t think people expected [100 wins],” manager Dave Roberts said following game 162.
Most experts, insiders, pundits and the like went with the sexy pick that was the San Diego Padres.
