Freddie Freeman’s historic season keeps getting better as he has set another Dodgers record in Sunday’s game against the Red Sox.
In the fifth inning, the Dodgers first baseman set the mark for most doubles in a single season in team history when he drove a ball off of the Green Monster. His 50th double of the season and second of the game passed Shawn Green who hit 49 doubles in the 2003 season.
This is also the first time in Freeman’s career that he has eclipsed 50 doubles in a season. His previous best was 47 set last year.
