Dodgers News: Freddie Freeman Needed to Get Hit No. 2,000 on Sunday

As Freddie Freeman entered into Sunday Night Baseball two hits shy of 2,000 hits, he put added pressure on himself as he knew he had to reach the milestone against the Astros.

Heading into the game, Freeman had been struggling for the Dodgers in the past week as he was hitting just over .100 over the past five games. With the Dodgers leaving LA for a 6-game road Freeman wanted to make sure his family was in the stadium to see his achievement.

“It means a lot because my dad would not be in Colorado,” Freeman said.
