For the Dodgers, Freddie Freeman is as tough as they come. Just hours after taking an errant pitch off of his right kneecap, he’s back in the starting lineup for Dave Roberts.
Not that it comes as a shock to anyone.
The first baseman told reporters following his early exit from the game that, yeah “it hurt,” but being out of Sunday’s lineup was never an option. He was checked out by trainers but declined an x-ray last night.
Roberts acknowledged that just about any other player he would have benched the next day to keep them off their feet.
