One major reason why the Dodgers are in a good spot record-wise with a little less than a month to go in the season has been the production of their young pitchers. They have helped keep LA afloat all year long, and they are making their case for potential playoff time as well.
One of those pitchers has been rookie Emmet Sheehan, who has bounced around from the minors over the last month. But his value to this team can’t be overstated, as he was a mainstay in their rotation during some troubling times.
Sheehan showed that he could pitch at the major league level, but that he also could benefit from some extra work at Triple-A.
