Dodgers rookie Emmet Sheehan has been nearly perfect to open his career against the San Francisco Giants. Seriously.
Sheehan made his MLB debut against the Giants back in June, throwing six no-hit innings, allowing just two walks while striking out three. He ended up leaving the game after six, and hasn’t faced them again until Thursday.
On Thursday, Sheehan opened the game with three perfect innings, striking out seven. For all you non-math majors, that’s nine no-hit innings for Sheehan to start his MLB career against the Giants.
