The Dodgers are making some moves ahead of Game 5 of the NLCS tonight. After Justin Turner went down with a hamstring injury, Los Angeles had to add in an infielder for some depth at the hot corner.
Roberts opted for Andy Burns to take JT’s spot on the NLCS roster, partially due to being able to handle third base and the fact that he is a right-handed bat. In order to do that, the Dodgers needed to make a move on the 40-man roster.

That move ended up being designating RHP Edwin Uceta for assignment.
