The Los Angeles Dodgers reinstated Dylan Floro and optioned Tony Gonsolin to Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to Wednesday’s three-game series finale against Colorado Rockies.
Floro was placed on the IL due to neck inflammation, which Dodgers manager Dave Roberts believes could have contributed to some of Floro’s recent struggles. Although he tossed six scoreless innings over six appearances before allowing a run July 18, Floro walked four batters during that span.
Floro completed a simulated game, which then led to a rehab assignment with High-A Rancho Cucamonga. “It was really good, actually,” Roberts said of Floro facing Minor League hitters at Dodger Stadium.
