Dodgers team president Andrew Friedman has repeatedly signaled in recent weeks that franchise is unlikely to continue their practice of making blockbuster deals at the trade deadline. Friedman has cited the fact that he and his front office believe that the Dodgers have plenty of “internal” players who can help LA in the second half of the regular season and beyond. Walker Buehler is certainly a name that comes to mind, as is the flame-throwing Dustin May.
May has been steadily working his way back from Tommy John surgery. After graduating to facing live hitters in the Arizona Complex League last weekend, May is set to embark on a lengthy minor league rehab assignment.
