Every once in a while, a pitcher has the game of their life. It can happen at any time, and the beauty of baseball is that nobody knows when history could be made.
Entering Thursday, nobody could have guessed that Dodgers pitcher Ryan Pepiot would have taken a perfect game into the 7th inning against the Miami Marlins. It ended up getting broken up with two outs, but his performance was another reminder of just how good he can be.
After the game, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that he had no intentions of pulling Pepiot prior to a hit being given up, unlike in previous situations.
