On Thursday, the Dodgers officially optioned rookie infielder Michael Busch to Triple-A. The team made the announcement on Friday, but the move was done on Thursday when J.D. Martinez was activated off the 10-day injured list.
Busch ended up spending a little over two weeks with the Dodgers, and appeared in seven games. He went 4-for-19 with two RBIs, and had one huge hit, a go-ahead RBI single against the Padres in the 10th inning of last Sunday’s win.
With Martinez returning, though, there was no room for Busch on the roster.
