Dustin May put on quite a show on Friday night throwing 5 no hit innings against the Giants before exiting the mound after 69 pitches. It was his 5th start this season and he now improves his ERA to 3.46 with 25 strikeouts.
Fans were ecstatic to see how far the right-handed pitcher has come post Tommy John, but not all has been smooth sailing.
The truth came out and Bill Plunkett of the OC Register was the one to share it:
After the game, Roberts revealed that May’s start had been pushed back not just because of the off day Thursday or the insertion of Michael Grove as a sixth starter on Wednesday.
