Freddie Freeman left Team Canada’s World Baseball Classic game on Tuesday with a hamstring issue. Dodger fans had to wait over 24 hours for a positive update, but finally, on Wednesday, they got it.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts spoke to the media at Camelback Ranch, and gave a positive update on Freeman’s hamstring issue. He called the injury “mild,” and said that his status for Opening Day is “not a concern at all,” (per Jack Harris of the LA Times). Phew.
Dodgers fans can take a huge sigh of relief, as the last thing this team needed was an issue with Freeman, arguably the team’s most important player.
