With the MLB season coming to a close in a few weeks, the race for the season awards has started to really pick up. The competition for the National League MVP award seemingly is a four-man, two-team race.
Dodgers Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman are both top candidates, while Ronald Acuna Jr. and Matt Olson of the Atlanta Braves are as well. It’s an interesting way for the ballots to shake out, but it is also fitting that the players come from two of the best teams in the game.
While Betts and Acuna may be the headliners, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts believes that Freeman deserves more love in the MVP discussion.
