Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager underwent successful arthroscopic left hip surgery on Tuesday in New York, with the operation being performed by Dr. Bryan Kelly.
The injury is not expected to affect how much time Seager will miss as he was already sidelined the remainder of this season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in April.
It’s believed he injured the hip while playing the field on April 25, and by having the surgery now, Seager is expected to be able to resume baseball activities as early as January, which would put him in line to be ready for the start of Spring Training.
