The Los Angeles Dodgers placed Cody Bellinger on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to April 6) due to a left calf contusion and recalled Luke Raley from the club’s alternate training site prior to their home opener on Friday.
Not long before the roster move, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Bellinger continued to make progress in his recovery since being spiked earlier in the week. However, Roberts did not it wasn’t significant and Bellinger remained bothered by lingering soreness.
He suffered the injury during the ninth inning of the series opener against the Oakland Athletics, then missed the next two games.
