Cody Bellinger resumed his rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday, again batting second and starting in center field. Bellinger hit a home run in his first at-bat and finished the day 1-for-4 in OKC’s 11-10 loss to the Albuquerque Isotopes (Colorado Rockies affiliate).
Bellinger played seven innings in the field as he continues to work toward a return to the Los Angeles Dodgers lineup. The 25-year-old joined Oklahoma City over the weekend — along with Zach McKinstry — and nearly hit a homer in the first at-bat of his rehab assignment.
Bellinger and McKinstry each played five innings last Friday, and were overshadowed by Keibert Ruiz slugging two home runs for his fourth career multi-homer game.
