Dodgers News: Clayton Kershaw’s Next Start to Be Pushed Back

On Thursday, Clayton Kershaw made his return to the mound after a 44 day absence and tossed 5 innings of one run ball. The Dodgers slow played the ace back into the rotation as he dealt with a bout of shoulder inflammation. Unsurprisingly, the club wants to continue to exercise caution with Kersh.

Manager Dave Roberts said on Friday that Kershaw was working through “normal soreness” following his outing and would get one more day off between starts.

While Clayton has made it known that he really doesn’t want to spend any more time not pitching, but Roberts’s desire to have a fully healthy left-hander available to the team for a deep postseason run.
