Dodgers News: Clayton Kershaw Thinking of Ways to Game the Pitch Clock

The 2023 MLB season will be unlike any other in the league’s history. Starting this season, three new rules will be implemented and will be an adjustment period for everyone involved.

The three new rules are restrictions on defensive shifts, larger bases, and a new pitch timer. The pitch timer seems to grab the most attention already. A pitcher has 15 seconds to throw a pitch whenever there is no one on the base and if a player is on base, that time increases to 20 seconds.

All these rules are in place to speed up the pace of the game and lower the risk of injury.
