Dodgers News: Clayton Kershaw Reacts to Injury, ‘I’ve Never Had Anything Like It’

The Dodgers thought Clayton Kershaw would be back right after the All-Star break, but he’s now looking at an early August return.

While pitching at Coors Field on June 27th, Kershaw felt something in his valuable left shoulder. Immediately, he received a cortisone shot. The cortisone shot has taken longer than expected to take down inflammation.

After Kershaw had an MRI, Dr. Neal ElAttrache told Kershaw to let the shoulder heal, despite him feeling no pain. Of course, the Dodgers ace is frustrated.

“It’s the weirdest thing,” Kershaw said.
