Going into the postseason, the Los Angeles Dodgers will use the new pitching philosophy. Bobby Miller is essentially the only traditional starter that LA will have. The Dodgers will be successful using the new-age method of deploying pitchers in the NLDS against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The method where starting pitchers don’t work deep into games and every hurler is on the table to pitch at any time.
While Clayton Kershaw doesn’t like this new philosophy, at this point in his career he needs to be used for short periods. He shared his thoughts with reporters this week admitting that, while he understands the game plan, he isn’t necessarily a fan of it.
