Clayton Kershaw gets the baseball for the Dodgers tonight in St. Petersburg for the first time since rejoining the team from the bereavement list. The left-hander was away from the team while attending the services for his mother who passed away earlier this month.
Over his last two outings since his mother’s death, Clayton has struggled but shot down any connection between his troubles and his heavy heart. After his most recent outing, however, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts did say that Kersh had complained of body fatigue. On Friday as the pitcher was activated from the bereavement list, Doc said he’s in a much better spot.
