Clayton Kershaw definitely didn’t put together the start he envisioned on Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in his first loss in LA in nearly two years, lasting just 4 innings when the team could have used another vintage performance from the ace. But, heading into the start, there were bigger things at play.
It was his first start since his mother, Marianne, passed away three days earlier on Saturday. He did confirm after the game he wasn’t feeling any added emotions that would have affected his outing, he was just more annoyed by the series of events from the game.
