Clayton Kershaw is taking the ball for the Dodgers in Game 1 of the NLDS against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He’s slowly built himself up since returning from the injured list, and should be good to give LA strong five innings — exactly what Dave Roberts and co. want with the off day coming before Game 2.
The off days make things very interesting this NLDS, as the Game 1 starter would be on full rest to start Game 4, and extra rest to start Game 5. Kershaw hasn’t started on full rest in quite some time, as he’s made starts the last three Saturdays for LA — this Saturday being his fourth straight.
