Of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ seven free agents at the start of the offseason, Kiké Hernandez was considered one of the most likely players to sign with a different team due to his desire of becoming an everyday player.
The 29-year-old went on to ink a two-year contract with the Boston Red Sox, with whom he’ll have an opportunity to win the starting job at second base. In his six seasons with the Dodgers, Hernandez played all over the field but saw most of his time at second base.
He shared duties at the position with several players, including Chris Taylor, Max Muncy and Gavin Lux.
