Hamlet Marte has spent the last two years in the Dodgers organization, and he’ll be back for another year in 2023. LA and the 28-year-old catcher agreed to a minor-league deal to bring Marte back for 2023.
Marte began his career in the Rockies organization in 2011, getting as high as High-A before coming to the Dodgers in 2018. He spent 2019 in the Giants organization and 2020, like the rest of the minor leagues, sitting at home before coming back to the LA organization for 2021.
Marte hit pretty well in the low levels of the minors, but he’s struggled as he’s risen in the ranks.
