Within sports, there are sometimes moments that are bigger than the game being played on the field. It helps humanize what is going on and makes for a great story.
For Dodgers relief pitcher Brusdar Graterol, one of those moments occurred during the team’s game against the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday night. His mother was in attendance for the game, and it was the first time that she had been able to see him pitch in the major leagues.
Graterol said that he had been trying to get his mom to come watch him play for seven years, and it finally happened on Tuesday.
