Dodgers News: Brett Eibner, Luis Ysla Designated For Assignment

In order to create needed room on their 40-man roster for part of Friday’s activity, which included calling up O’Koyea Dickson and Alex Verdugo, the Los Angeles Dodgers designated Brett Eibner and Luis Ysla for assignment.

Eibner’s 2017 campaign came to an end in early August after he underwent Tommy John surgery. While he never pitched in a game, Eibner threw multiple bullpen sessions this season, which left Dodgers manager Dave Roberts and pitching coach Rick Honeycutt intrigued.

In 17 games with the Dodgers, Eibner hit .182/.250/.364 with two home runs and six RBI. In 37 games with Triple-A Oklahoma City, he batted .
