The Los Angeles Dodgers reinstated Alex Wood from the 10-day disabled list and optioned Brandon Morrow to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Wood starts Saturday in the second of a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds.
He was on the disabled list since May 29, though retroactive to two days prior, with left SC joint inflammation. The initial expectation had Wood missing just one start, but the Dodgers made two turns in their rotation prior to activating the southpaw.
When Wood’s recovery from the inflammation stalled, he returned to Los Angeles to be examined by team doctors.
