Today, the Dodgers announced that Blake Treinen was heading back to the injured list with right shoulder tightness. In a corresponding move, right-handed swingman Andre Jackson has been recalled.
Treinen has battled with that shoulder all season long, missing most of the 2022 campaign rehabbing from a torn capsule in his shoulder. The veteran hurler recently revealed that his injury was, in fact, that torn capsule and that surgery was the initial recommendation. Instead, he opted for rest, rehab, and a PRP injection, ultimately taking more than four months to return to the active roster.
His IL placement is backdated to September 7th, which means the earliest he can return is September 22nd and that would leave him about two weeks to ramp up for a potential postseason role.
