The Los Angeles Dodgers announced Andrew Toles underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair the torn ACL in his right knee. The operation was performed by team physician Dr. Neal ElAttrache at the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles.
Toles is expected to miss the remainder of the 2017 season. He sustained the injury on May 9 while attempting to make a catch on a slicing fly ball down the right-field line. Toles was unable to make the play, and the ground-rule double broke up Julio Urias’ no-hit bid in the seventh inning.
After a meteoric rise through the organization’s farm system last year, Toles was in his first full season with the Dodgers.
