Dodgers News: All-Star Snubbing Motivating Freddie Freeman Says Dave Roberts

If fans forgot what a red-hot hitter looks like, look no further than Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman. In his last four games, Freddie is 13-for-16 with six extra-base hits. His torrid hitting has boosted his batting average to .320 on the season. Yet, Freeman did not make the NL All-Star roster for the first time since 2017.

Technically, Freeman wasn’t an All-Star in 2020, but due to the COVID-shortened season, the All-Star game, which was scheduled for Dodger Stadium, never happened.

Considering the fact that Freddie won the MVP year, it’s safe to say he wouldn’t made the cut if the Midsummer Classic was played that year.
