The Los Angeles Dodgers reinstated Adrian Gonzalez from the 10-day disabled list and optioned Scott Van Slyke to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Los Angeles begins a four-game series with the Miami Marlins on Thursday, which also marks the start of a 10-game homestand.
Gonzalez spent two games on a rehab assignment with High-A Rancho Cucamonga. He went hitless in the first contest, then 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI on Wednesday night.
The rehab assignment was the first of Gonzalez’s career. The DL stint was also a first for the 14-year veteran. Gonzalez said he’s healthy and was pleased with the results from his brief time with the Quakes.
