The Dodgers have been without All-Star outfielder Cody Bellinger for more than a week as recovers from a lower leg injury suffered in Oakland. Back on April 5th, Cody hustled out of the box on a weak groundball to the right side. Athletics reliever Reymin Guduan stomped on Belli’s leg as the two converged at first base and the LA outfielder hasn’t been seen since.
According to Dave Roberts, Bellinger’s left calf is still swollen and a bit discolored. And as of pregame on Wednesday, he still wasn’t running at full speed. While he’s eligible to come off the injured list on Friday, that still might be a best-case scenario.
