Los Angeles Dodgers superstar infielder Mookie Betts is trending in the right direction after suffering a left hand fracture in mid-June. The seven-time All-Star is back to swinging a bat, and told SportsNet LA’s Kirsten Watson that he will slowly progress from rubber balls to eventually baseballs.
“I’ve gotten to swing a little bit, hitting the little rubber balls and then eventually move into some tennis balls, then baseballs and whatnot,” said Betts. “So just want to make sure every swing I take, the hand is okay. There’s no vibration or anything that’s gonna slow the healing process down.
