It’s a great time to be a Dodgers fan. Fresh off of their first World Series win since 1988, Los Angeles looks like they’re around to compete for a while. Part of the reason they look so primed for success is the fact that Mookie Betts will also be a part of the team for the foreseeable future.
In his first year with the Dodgers, Mookie won a Gold Glove award to go along with his Silver Slugger in addition to a championship. That performance won him Sports Illustrated’s Player of the Year award today, announced at the SI Awards show.
