Los Angeles Dodgers superstar infielder Mookie Betts has left Sunday’s contest after being hit by a 98 mph fastball in the seventh inning against the Kansas City Royals.
Betts immediately fell in pain and exited the game.
This is the last thing the Dodgers need after it was announced that Yoshionobu Yamamoto had entered the 15-day Il due to tricep tightness. Betts has had himself an MVP-type season thus far, slashing .307/.407/.493 with a .900 OPS with 10 home runs, 40 RBIs, and 86 hits in 280 at-bats and 71 games.
Betts seemed to be in severe pain, but hopefully, it’s nothing too concerning.
