The Los Angeles Dodgers will be missing Mookie Betts for quite some time as it was revealed following the team’s 3-0 series-finale win over the Kansas City Royals that he had suffered a left-hand fracture.
He won’t need surgery and there’s no timetable for his return.
Manager Dave Roberts said Miguel Rojas will pick up most of the innings at shortstop while Betts is out with Kiké Hernández mixed in, per Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register. Miguel Vargas will also be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to fill the empty bench spot.
