Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Saturday in Houston that Miguel Vargas could soon see time at third base, where he’s been taking ground balls.
“I’ll decide — it could happen (Sunday), we’ll see. He’s working really hard. I’ve seen it and it’s getting closer, absolutely.”
The Dodgers have been searching for a position Vargas can call home. He came up as a third baseman, was moved to second base, and then transitioned to the outfield.
“They’re trying to give me a place, any opportunity, any position,” Vargas said, looking on the bright side of all the moves.
