The Los Angeles Dodgers have lost two top shortstops in the past two off-seasons, Corey Seager and Trea Turner. Due to those losses, L.A. became relatively thin in that position, with the question mark surrounding whether Gavin Lux can handle the shortstop position on an everyday basis. That is why the Dodgers went out and got some reassurance by acquiring former Dodger Miguel Rojas from the Miami Marlins.
Los Angeles traded away their shortstop prospect Jacob Amaya for Rojas earlier this week. But before he spent the past eight years in Miami, the soon-to-be 34-year-old spent his first major league season with the Boys in Blue in 2014.
