Dodgers’ Max Muncy Suffers Setback, No Longer Swinging Bat

Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star infielder Max Muncy has suffered a significant setback in his recovery process from his oblique injury. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Muncy is no longer swinging a bat as his oblique issue has not progressed as they thought it would.

Fabian Ardaya of The Atheltic shared the update via Twitter/X.

Muncy has been shut down from swinging a bat. On top of this negative update, the chances of the infielder beginning his rehab assignment after the All-Star break have been reduced significantly. A Grade 1 right oblique strain has kept the 33-year-old sidelined since May 17.
