It’s safe to say that the 2020 season did get off to the start that Max Muncy had hoped for. A broken finger from a fastball off of his knuckle was a bad enough start at the Dodgers Summer Camp when the season restarted.
In his first series of the year, Muncy went 4-for-11 and hit 2 homeruns. He would go on to have just 4 hits in 32 at-bats for the rest of the month of July, and August wasn’t much better. Muncy struggled during the regular season for the Dodgers, watching his strikeout rate climb and his hard contact rate plummet.
