The Dodgers were already very much considering a move for Max Muncy before Saturday. Dave Roberts hinted on Thursday that they could be sending him to the injured list after his elbow pain flared up. That came after a few different plays this past week where he was seen rubbing the injured elbow.
They did make that decision today. The Dodgers sent Muncy to the injured list with soreness in his left elbow. That’s the one that he suffered a torn UCL in at the end of last season. It’s what has apparently contributed to his very slow start as he struggles to drive the ball with any authority.
